Titech is the leading provider of sensor based sorting equipment for recycling, mining and food industry. In the presentation an overview over typical detection technologies for recycling and mining is given. Worth mentioning classical camera systems, X-ray transmission systems and electromagnetic detection as well as new developments like X-ray fluorescence and laser induced plasma spectroscopy. The emphasis of the talk lies on sorting systems based on near infrared spectroscopy and visual spectroscopy.
